The Uberflip team is a unique blend of individuals. We went and asked some of our team members to answer the question “If you were a digital device, what would you be?”. After some pondering here’s what we came up with:

Yoav SchwartzUberflip CEOIf I were a digital device I’d be the new Leap Motion (which I’ve already pre-ordered at http://leapmotion.com/) because it’s so futuristic, creates experiences straight of movies I love (i.e. Minority Report) and promises to allow for more freedom when creating things on computers. No more mouse or keyboard? Awesome! And no, I am in no way affiliated with Leap. |
Robert DamianoLead Java DeveloperI would be a Speak & Spell. Why you ask? Well, all the hipster kids would love me because I’m super retro. I’d be able to teach so many children how to Speak & Spell. I know what you’re thinking… boring, but kids can also play games on me. Did you also know I’m a movie star? I’ve been in the classic movie E.T. and more recently in the Toy Story series. If you still don’t think I’m the best digital device, I save lives…that’s right! My internals contained the first single-chip voice synthesizer, which was later used by Chrysler in their cars for Electronic Voice Alerts. I am pretty amazing, but I guess my only flaw is that batteries aren’t included. |

Neil BhapkarDirector of MarketingIf I were a digital device I would be an insulin pump dispenser. I seek out ways to help myself and others in new and innovative ways. While I’m not diabetic, I have seen first-hand how this medical device innovation is enhancing the day-to-day quality of life for people living with Type 1 diabetes – especially children. Tech innovation should serve the purpose of improving something; whether it’s a software like Uberflip that helps Marketers (like me) enhance their content, or a medical device like an insulin pump that allows diabetics to manage their diabetes much more effectively. |
Aaliyah MadadiMarketing InternIf I were a device, I would be a digital camera. Like a camera, I pay attention to detail and I’m very in-tuned with my environment. I love observing people, the environment, and different places, and I’m sure to take cool snapshots of the things I experience. I also enjoy creating and capturing special moments, especially with friends and family, and I love the adventures of travelling to new and novel places! |

Sonya FurdykMarketing InternIf I were a device, I would be a digital alarm clock because I am always alert! Having a busy schedule, I rely on a daily task list and alarms to remind me of important things to do when I am on the go. Being a fairly loud and fast speaker, I am known to energize and wake up those around me by interacting with them. Useful in all types of situations and dependent on staying on track, I keep it all together when others don’t! |
Lauren AtmoreCustomer Retention & SupportIf I were a digital electronic device, I think I would be a PlayStation 3. While this gaming platform was designed for exactly this purpose, to facilitate the enjoyment of video games, it shouldn’t be overlooked for its alternative uses. Like the PS3, I am a small package that holds the power to try out anything I want. Whether it’s online banking on the PS3 browser, watching BlueRays or playing some classic Mario, my potential is only limited by what I can contain (and an internet connection). |

Jose SanchezCommunications SpecialistIf I were a digital device, I would be a retro multi-functioning Casio watch from the 90s. If you need something done, chances are I’m the right guy for the job, or at least I’ll figure it out. No matter how many cool “things” you find in me, there’s always something more ready to pop up. When others are in a bind, and need a solution, my expertise or capabilities can come come to the rescue. |
